Your Eau Claire Cowboys are finally returning to the NLFL, the Northern Lights Football League.
The team was originally created by two retired players from the Eau Claire Crush.
After falling in the game before the championship in our inaugural season, we then won a championship in 2018, and lost a championship game against the Minneapolis Warriors in 2019.
Unfortunately due to the challenges presented by the pandemic we ceased operations in 2020.
We are grateful to be back in operation under new management with all of the original leadership once again on staff.
This year we will be under the leadership of the former head coach of the Eau Claire Crush, Fred Hoversholm.
Fred has served as a marine, a deputy sheriff, on local committees, and currently as a crisis counselor.
He a great role model for our young men and has a wealth of coaching experience having previously been with the other two semi professional teams that our area is well known for. The Chippewa Valley Predators and the Menomonie Thunderhawks.
Community has always been a huge priority for Fred and we will continue his tradition of having players go into the stands and meet fans prior to games.
We will be running free youth football minicamps and events as well involving local kids in the crowd entertainment, and half time competitions at our games.
Crowd entertainment will be a huge priority for us this year and children will have free admission at our games all while having the most affordable general admission tickets of any of the 16 teams in our league.
Join us on Saturdays this summer for affordable family friendly fun
